  • Action Assignment: Players assign their dice to different areas on their tableaus (fleet, crew, island, treasure hunt, and boarding/raiding actions).
  • Action Phase: Players compete based on the combined numeric strength of each die action to determine the first and second place players.
  • Treasure Movement: Treasure chests are moved from the island area to the crew area, then to the fleet area, and finally to Tortuga.
  • Game Objective: Be the first to collect 6 treasures at the Island of Tortuga and amass the greatest number of victory points.

    Personal Thoughts on Tortuga

Tortuga is best suited for families or casual gamers who enjoy light to moderate strategy and thematic games. While it offers a visually appealing and engaging pirate-themed experience, it may not be ideal for players seeking deeply complex or highly strategic games due to its fiddly nature and somewhat disconnected mechanics. Despite this, it remains a fun, quick-paced game that can be enjoyed by a wide range of players.
