The Lonely Mountain is a board game produced in 1984 by Iron Crown Enterprises. The game is based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel “The Hobbit,” specifically the part where Bilbo Baggins and a group of dwarves attempt to steal treasure from the dragon Smaug, who has taken up residence in the Lonely Mountain. Each player controls a group of adventurers consisting of dwarves, elves, men, orcs, or freebooters, and the objective is to steal as much of Smaug’s treasure as possible.
