How To Setup Shrieks & Creaks

To set up the game, place one Room Key in each room on the board, matching the key number to the room number. Each row or level of rooms has the same numbered keys. Players choose their characters and receive their respective pawns and keys. The cassette tape is inserted into the player and the game begins with the introduction played through the Talking Tombstone.

Black Cat Encounter: If a player lands on a Black Cat, they must stop and insert their Player Key and the Room Key into the Tombstone Speaker. If no sound is heard, the room is clear; otherwise, follow the audio instructions which often redirect the player to another room.
