How To Setup Qwixx

To set up Qwixx, each player takes a score sheet and a writing utensil. The game starts with all players rolling one die; the first player to roll a six becomes the first “active player.”

Players aim to score the most points by marking numbers on their score sheet.

Each score sheet has four rows of numbers: red and yellow counting up from 2 to 12, and green and blue counting down from 12 to 2.

After rolling the dice, the active player announces the sum of the white dice, and all players can mark this number in any row.

The active player can also mark the sum of one white die and one colored die in the corresponding colored row.

A key rule: players cannot mark a number to the left of a previously marked number in the same row.

If a player cannot or does not mark a number, they take a “failed roll” which costs 5 points at the end of the game.

The game ends when two rows are completely marked or when a player has taken four failed rolls.
