To set up the game, arrange the 9 planet tiles in a 3×3 grid. Place one derelict robot card on each side of the grid. Each player starts with a set number of battery cubes and energy cubes. The control cards are placed within reach of all players, with three cards always available and visible. The technology cards are shuffled and placed face down within reach as well.
