Koti Keliya, also known as Demala Diviyan Keliya, is a two-player abstract strategy board game from Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon. It is a hunt game played on a triangle board, with three leopards going up against fifteen dogs. The game is well known in Southern India and has been documented since the early twentieth century.

Game Components of Koti Keliya:

– Triangle board
– 3 leopard pieces
– 15 dog pieces

Game Setup of Koti Keliya:

– Place the triangle board on a flat surface.
– Set the leopard pieces on the board according to the rules.
– Place the dog pieces beside the board.

Gameplay Mechanics of Koti Keliya:

– The player controlling the dogs places one dog on an intersection until all dogs are on the board.
– The leopards and dogs take turns moving and capturing each other.
– The leopard wins if it captures more than half of the dogs, while the dogs win if they block the leopard from being able to move.
