Dynamo Chess

Game Components of Dynamo chess

– Chess board
– Chess pieces (same as in orthodox chess)
– Starting position (same as in orthodox chess)

Game Setup of Dynamo chess

The game is played on a standard chess board with the same starting position as orthodox chess.

Gameplay Mechanics of Dynamo chess

In Dynamo chess, players can make standard moves as in orthodox chess (without capture), or execute a “push move” or a “pull move”. A move that is either a push move or a pull move is called a “dynamo move”. Push moves involve pushing an enemy piece off the board, which is then removed from the game. Pull moves involve pulling a piece when the moving piece moves directly away from the piece to be pulled, landing where the moving piece started and traveling in the same direction and distance.

Game Objective of Dynamo chess

The goal of Dynamo chess is to achieve checkmate, just like in orthodox chess.
