How To Setup Dwar7s Winter

To set up the game, place the board in the middle of the play area. Shuffle the Monster cards and place them face down near the left side of the board. Shuffle the Hero cards and place them face up near the top of the board, drawing the top three to form the Hero pool. Disaster cards and tokens are placed face down near the right side of the board. Each player chooses a color, takes the corresponding dwarf miniatures, and places them on their player board. Players also take their player board, markers, and music token. The player markers are placed on the gold, food, stone, and wood tracks, while the scroll markers are placed on the action and hand size tracks. The winter token is placed on the 1 spot of the winter track. Finally, players place their dwarves on the game board, with the first two players placing one dwarf each and the third and fourth players placing two each.

Hand-building: Players build their deck of hero cards.

Worker Placement: Players place their dwarves in different zones to manage resources and defend the castle.
