  • 50 Numbered Cards: 5× value 2 cards, 6× value 3 cards, 6× value 4 cards, 6× value 5 cards, 6× value 6 cards, 5× value 7 cards, 4× value 8 cards, 3× value 9 cards, 3× value 10 cards, 3× value 11 cards, 3× value 12 cards
  • 7 Special Cards: 3× Wild Cards, 2× Skip Cards, 2× Reverse Cards, 1 Direction Card, 1 Forgetful Card

    How To Setup Dobro

    To set up Dobro, start by placing the Direction Card on the table with the clockwise direction face up. Shuffle the remaining cards and deal 6 to each player (5 cards in 6-player games). Create a Draw Pile face down next to the Direction Card and place the Forgetful Card next to the pile. Randomly choose the first player to start the first Climb of the game.

    Gameplay Mechanics and Game Objective

  • Play a card higher than the value in play.**
  • Play two identical cards, doubling their value.**
  • Play a card with the same value as the one in play to double it.**
  • Use Special Cards to change the direction of play, skip turns, or play any number to avoid taking cards.**
  • The game is divided into 3 rounds, each round consisting of multiple Climbs.
  • A Climb ends when a player cannot or does not want to play cards that increase the value in play; that player takes all the cards played in that Climb.
  • The round ends when a player empties their hand, and points are awarded based on the cards in each player’s Score Pile.
  • The player with the highest total score after three rounds wins.
