Choose One! (2013) Board Game

Choose One! is a party game designed by Derek Ring and published by Looney Labs in in 2013. It is a game that is suitable for 3 to 10 players, with the best player count being 3 or 6. The game is designed for players aged 14 and above and has a runtime of about 30 minutes. The game is all about making tough choices and seeing how well you know your fellow players.

How To Setup Choose One!

To set up the game, each player selects one of the 10 available tokens and places it on the starting position on the board. Each player receives two Choice cards, one blue and one white, which are used to indicate their guesses. The Topic cards are shuffled and placed within reach of all players. One player starts as the Chooser, drawing a Topic card from the deck.

Gameplay Mechanics and Game Objective

Gameplay Mechanics: Players take turns being the Chooser, who draws a Topic card and presents it to the group. Other players then guess which of the two options the Chooser will choose by holding out either their blue or white Choice card face down.

Scoring: If no one matches the Chooser’s answer, the Chooser gets 2 points. If at least one player matches and another doesn’t, the Chooser and all matching players get 1 point. If everyone guesses correctly, no one scores.

Game Objective: The first player to reach 11 points by correctly predicting the Chooser’s answers wins the game.
