How To Setup Catch Sketch

To set up the game, each player receives a game board and an eraser pen. The deck of keyword cards is placed within reach of all players. The challenge and scoring tokens are distributed accordingly. The game starts with one player as the guesser, who flips over the top card of the deck so that everyone but themselves can see it. The cards have two words on them, and players can choose to draw based on the easy or hard word indicated by a yellow bar on the card.

Gameplay Mechanics and Game Objective

Speed Drawing: Players draw images to explain a keyword as quickly as possible.

Token System: Players grab numbered tokens based on the speed of their drawing.

Guessing Phase: The fastest player reveals their drawing, and the guesser attempts to guess the keyword. If incorrect, the next fastest player’s drawing is revealed until the keyword is guessed or all drawings are shown.

Scoring: Correct guesses award points to the guesser and the artist, with 3 points for the fastest, 2 points for the second fastest, and 1 point for subsequent players.
