How To Setup Kamisado Schnupperspiel
To set up the game, place the dragon towers on the row nearest to each player. The setup is similar to the full version of Kamisado, but adapted for the smaller 6×6 board. Each player starts with their towers aligned on their respective starting rows.
Gameplay Mechanics and Game Objective
– Players take turns moving one tower any number of spaces in a straight line, either directly forwards or diagonally forwards.
– No tower can move into or through a square already occupied by another dragon tower.
– Each player must move the dragon tower that matches the color of the square where the opponent’s last move ended.
– The goal is to move one of your dragon towers to your opponent’s Home Row.
– The first player to achieve this wins the round.
Player Experience
Kamisado Schnupperspiel offers a strategic and engaging experience, despite its smaller scale. Players need to think ahead and plan their moves carefully, as the game requires matching the color of the square where the opponent’s tower landed. This version is a great introduction to the full game, allowing players to grasp the core mechanics without the complexity of the larger board.
