How To Setup Dreams of Tomorrow
To set up the game, place the Collective Consciousness (the rondel) in numerical order within reach of all players. Reveal a number of Dream cards from the Dream deck based on the number of players, creating the communal Dreamscape. Each player receives a player card, cubes, and a meeple in their chosen color, and sets their resources to the starting numbers as described in the rulebook. Players begin with their meeples in the first space of the rondel and select a Dream from the Dreamscape to place in their Dream Catcher (waiting area) before the game begins.
Gameplay Mechanics and Game Objective
– Set Collection: Players collect and weave dreams into a sequence.
– Shifting Rondel: Players move around a rondel that can be rearranged or flipped based on actions.
– Resource Management: Players manage resources to perform actions.
– Tableau Building: Players build a dream sequence.
– The objective is to create the most compelling dream sequence by catching, weaving, and connecting dreams.
– The game ends when one player has woven a dream sequence of five dreams. The player with the highest score, based on the point value of the dreams and resonance (alignment of symbols on the dream cards), wins the game.
