How To Setup Alpha Blitz

To set up Alpha Blitz, shuffle the letter and Blitz cards together and lay out six cards between the players. Each player receives three cards in their starting hand. For the Blitz variant, two cards are placed face down in front of each player and all cards are turned up simultaneously.

Gameplay Mechanics and Game Objective

Alpha (2 players)

Players make the longest word possible using the six letters on the table, with each letter usable multiple times.

Each turn, cover one letter with a card from your hand and draw another card.

Covering a letter with a Blitz card removes it permanently.

Score points for making words, additional letters beyond the number of letter piles, and using J, K, Qu, X, and Z.

The game ends when only two letter piles are left.

Blitz (3-6 players)

Players simultaneously try to form words from the revealed cards.

The first player to call out a word gets 1 point plus 1 point for each J, K, Qu, X, and Z used.

Subsequent players must call out longer words to score.

The game ends when one player has both letter piles covered with Blitz cards.
