Wormlord is a party game released in 2019, designed by Gyom and illustrated by Sit Down! It is a fast-paced action/dexterity game set in a medieval world filled with humor. The game is suitable for 2 to 8 players, with a runtime of 5 to 10 minutes. Players compete to become the Wormlord by completing various challenges and tasks.

    How To Setup Wormlord

    To set up the game, place the modular gameboard in the middle of the table. Arrange 49 tiles in a square formation, depending on the player count and chosen map, and secure them with border pieces and connectors. Each player sits at a different side of the table and places their strings and headquarters in front of them. Each player has a base space on the board that is permanently theirs and cannot be taken.

    Gameplay Mechanics and Game Objective

  • Simultaneous Play: Players act simultaneously without turns.
  • Conquering Spaces: Players can conquer empty spaces or spaces occupied by enemy knots.
  • Repelling Opponents: Players can untie enemy knots to return them to their owners.
  • Headquarters Placement: Placing a headquarters in a space occupied by your own knot makes that space indisputably yours.
  • Victory Condition: The game is won by conquering three Objective spaces.
