The game is based on the legendary tale of Robin Hood, a heroic outlaw in English folklore who robbed from the rich to give to the poor.     How To Setup Robin Hood: Hero of the People

    To set up, separate the different types of cards and group them into their respective piles. Shuffle the **Story 2** cards and place them in the top left hand corner of the playing surface, then shuffle the **Story 1** cards and place them on top of the **Story 2** cards. Shuffle the **Loot** cards and place them in the top center. Lay out the **character cards** (excluding Robin Hood) face down on the top right hand corner, and place the **Robin Hood** card in front of you. The **King Richard** cards are placed face down underneath the character cards, and the **Sherwood Forest** cards are placed face down underneath the **King Richard** cards. Set the **bounty tracker** on the bottom left corner and the **coin token** to the desired difficulty level (green for easy, yellow for normal, red for hard). Finally, draw the top 3 **Loot** cards as your beginning hand.

    Gameplay Mechanics and Game Objective

  • Rob the Rich Phase: Draw 3 **Loot** cards and add them to your hand. Play up to 3 **Loot** cards from your hand into your inventory.
  • Action Phase: Spend **Loot** cards or use special abilities to recruit characters, buy **King Richard** or **Sherwood Forest** cards, or lower the bounty.
  • Recruit/Rescue Character: Use **Loot** cards and special abilities to recruit Merry Men.

  • Lower Bounty: Spend influence skills to reduce the bounty.

  • Objective: Recruit all 6 Merry Men and keep the bounty at 500 gold or less before the final **Story** card is drawn. If the bounty exceeds 1000 gold or the last **Story** card is drawn, the game is lost.
