“Fight for the Sky” is a board game that simulates the Battle of Britain, which took place over South East England from August 11th to 18th, 1940. The game is popular and significant because it is a tactical air combat game that deals with World War I, and it has been played at various Gen Con game conventions since its creation.

Game Setup of Fight for the Sky

Each turn, players take turns moving their aircraft and adjusting their altitude. Players may fire on any enemy planes within their sights at the end of each turn. The game proceeds until one player has destroyed all of their opponent’s aircraft or until a predetermined number of turns have been completed.
