The game has gone through several revisions, with the most recent one in 1973, which added three new layers of complexity: Basic Business Game, Corporate Game, and Classroom Game.The game is popular and significant because it provides players with a realistic experience of managing a business, including aspects such as capital expansion, financing, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets. It has been praised by its designer, Charles S. Roberts, as one of his proudest creations.
